Assistant Director

The Assistant Director of Inclusion Week is essential to upholding the mission of Inclusion Week to bring awareness to and create a space for underrepresented students and the resources available to them on campus. The Assistant Director will build upon their leadership, communication, and planning skills, as they work with the Inclusion Week team to create an unforgettable week of celebrating diversity and inclusion.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to make a minimum three-hour weekly commitment

  • Must be able to make at least a two-semester commitment

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in leading weekly team meetings

  • Overseeing and being a point of contact for committee members

  • Managing the budget of all committee members

Inclusion Week Committee

Student and Professional Outreach – The goal of the outreach committee is to help student and professional organizations on campus to get involved with Inclusion Week. The outreach team will be tasked with helping to organize the calendar for the week by being in constant communication with student and professional organizations on campus.

Engagement Committee – The goal of the engagement committee is to create a cultural, comfortable, and vibrant ambiance for the week to engage the study body. The engagement committee will be tasked with creating a theme for the week and executing this theme through merchandise, decorations, and cuisine.

Events and Entertainment – The goal of the events and entertainment committee is to plan and lead the marquee Inclusion Week event. The events and entertainment committee will be tasked with choosing the marquee Inclusion Week event, as well as the logistical planning behind the event.

 

Marketing & Communications – The goal of the marketing team is to grow student and faculty awareness of Inclusion Week. The marketing committee will be responsible for maintaining social media posts and analytics, creating content to grow student outreach, and creating promotional visuals around campus such as posters and flyers.
